It’s always a privilege to be able to attend my workshops every year! It’s a true gift from the Sky! I always go no matter how small the group will be:the important thing is to be with my students and help them the best way I can.
Anthony and Francesco has come all the way from the US and Italy to participate. As always, we shared everything: driving, editing their images and mine, eating together and, most importantly, talking about life.
As the days slowly passed I began seeing some of their beautiful images.
Unfortunately Anthony had to leave us to return home to see his mother for the last time! Francesco and I continued the workshop taking pictures, looking at his edit daily and slowly seeing them become a powerful body of work which along with the photos taken by him in two previous Oaxaca workshops became a very personal, color statement about his vision of the sacred rituals we would see daily in the cementare and life around us.
We were constantly greeted with this expression:Dali, good morning.
We decided that this was going to be the name of the workshop.
